European Life Science Forum (ELSF)

The ECFS is an associate member of the European Life Science Forum. The ELSF is an independent body established to represent the best interests and advocate the positions, particularly those related to public policy issues, of the European life sciences organisations. It is committed to provide support service to its constituents and individual investigators. Additional details can be found on the ELSF Web Site although currently the site needs to be up dated.

There are also details concerning the ELSF and its scope of activity in a draft document of its statutes. This document is available as a downloadable rich text document. (Statute Draft Document). The statutes of the ELSF based on this document will be discussed and approved by representatives of the member societies at a meeting held on the 6th-7th December 2001. If you have any comments or suggestions concerning this document, will you email them to Dr. Ryley who is to act as the ECFS representative at this meeting ( RyleyH@cardiff.ac.uk)

From time to time the Society will be asked by the ELSF to canvass opinion on Policy or Position Documents from the EC and other European funding bodies to which the ELSF will contribute an opinion. Downloadable drafts of such documents will be available on this page and the ECFS membership is asked to email any comments or suggestion to the Coordinating director of the ELSF, Dr Luc Van Dyke (luc.vandyck@elsf.org)
